I highly recommend Tuscany in Style. They are friendly, helpful, dependable, honest and reasonable. I have had the good fortune of renting a property through them for a year and working with them has been a pleasant and satisfying experience.
We were hoping for a beach holiday but a bit disappointed to find we couldn’t go unless we hired beds from the beach clubs, you can’t lay down your own towel in this area and let the children play. However we thoroughly enjoyed the pool and eating outdoors at the property and Pietrasanta town was lovely with great eating places. We had a trip into the mountains to swim/paddle in waterfalls, beautiful and secluded. Train to Cinque Terre was easy and clean and a fun way to travel with small children.
I have travelled a lot. I have also rented Holiday homes in Italy and other countries. But rarely have I received such friendly and competent support from booking to departure as from Tuscany In Style or Elena. Thank you from me and all of us.
About Villa Boppi: everything is perfect. Beautiful villa in a quiet location in the centre of the old town of Pietrasanta and on the opposite
side of the beach. 5 minutes by car each. We (seven) had a great time in the house, pool and Tuscany area.
Very clean, modernly furnished house. Excellent communication with the landlord. On Fridays, it's better to plan an excursion as the neighbours often have their gardener come by to tend the lawn and shrubs. Otherwise, the location is very quiet, about a 10-minute walk to the beach. Currently, only outdoor dining is allowed in Italy, so make sure to reserve a table at a restaurant on Friday/Saturday, otherwise, you won't have a chance of getting a seat. The pool is lovely, though it was still a bit cold in May.
Fabulous company for summer rentals, nothing is too much trouble and they speak English and Italian.
Useful company to know!
Have stayed with the company many times over last 10 years. Amazing service and it is so helpful that they are multilingual. Nothing too much trouble. They also book beach and bikes for us
The Versilia is the name given to 16 kilometres of coastline on the Northwest of Tuscany and its hinterlands which back onto the pre Apuan Alps. An area popular originally with Italian families from Milan and Rome, searching for an ideal area in which to buy or build a Summer home. In the mid nineties the entire family, with exclusion of the main breadwinner, would spend June to September in this lovely region. Over the decades that followed the Versilian Riviera was discovered by an International clientele, due to its bio and geodiversity but also its towns; Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi and nearby cities such as Pisa, Lucca and Florence. Pietrasanta became known as the ‘Little Athens’ due to its amazing wealth of art and culture which brought forth an internationally frequented Artist hub, which grew thanks to its famous bronze casting foundries, as well as top class artisan stone cutters. Amongst these renamed artists Mitoraj and Botero, to whom a Museum is presently being constructed.
The city today offers an open-air museum with a fantastic collection of artworks scattered throughout the town, amongst the chic boutiques, lovely caffès lining its main square and numerous eating establishments. Forte dei Marmi has always been a preferred playground for VIPs from all walks of life, a place to stroll around and ‘see’ or ‘be seen’ with its designer shops and lovely pier. With Pisa international airport just 30 minutes drive away the access and number of daily planes from all over Europe make this a great getaway area, even for a weekend stayover.
