For music lovers Versilia and its Riviera offer a wide range of entertainment from piano bars to open air concerts, such as the Lucca Summer Festival.In the past this popular event has hosted guests such as Elton John, James Taylor, Eric Clapton and Norah Jones to mention just a few.The open air stage in the lovely Piazza Napoleone makes for great views and sound!

A must for opera lovers is an evening at the Festival Puccini which is held every summer on the Lake at Torre Del Lago (close to Viareggio). A series of magical opera events three times per week for a month from the end of July until the end of August– high class Italian opera presented in highly evocative surroundings an incredible enormous open air theatre built along the lakeside. To complete your experience take a Puccini tour and visit the Maestro’s birthplace and the locations that inspired some of his most important operas.

If you are a jazz lover, enjoy chamber music or choir music, then you will not be disappointed. There are numerous events in and around the Versilia Riviera to cater for every taste in music.
